First of our, please tell us how all of you feel about the event yesterday
Tora: We're surrounded by young bands...that being said, it's quite wierd (laughs), that before we realized it, Alice nine have become adults. Also, in a good sense, i thought it was a massive live performance.
Saga: To end it off, i drank too much, it feels like memories up till daytime disappeared somewhere.......(laughs) I always thought that we were young, but in the midst of it all, i thought "Ah, we're now sempais". It's good that we don't really seem that way (laughs)
Shou: in last month's event [I'm not sure but i think it's the neo visual kei festival hosted by Music Japan], excluding the opening act, we were the youngest, that's why I could feel quite a gap. I think it was a good event where individual characteristics of the respective bands were displayed. We also showed our own traits. The audience also seemed to have enjoyed themselves so during the curtain call i really thought "it was good to done this [event]".
Hiroto: I wondered why Kra-san were always so powerful to that extent during events, but after this I felt i can understand a little. When there are junior bands around, you'll feel some fighting spirit entering. I thought that "i'd better not miss", in actuality i think we didnt miss during the live. Songs during the event were few, even though there were times where i thought if we could tide over [this event], in the end we were able to do a good job, it was good that we were able to exude an air of seniority [not in a bad way, it's just that i can't think of a better word]
Nao: In the dressing room there were other fellow drummers, it was fun talking about various stuff. I showed off my skills during my part.
Saga: Ah, speaking of which, some air-headed person was discovered. Someone even worse than me. I thought Vivid's Ryouga-kun was really bad [in terms of air-headdness]. I thought he was an alien (laughs)
Shou: During his high school days, Ryouga-kun pasted our posters in his room.
Saga: He did, he did
Shou: That's why he was nervous and looks like he's acting suspiciously
Saga: It was amazing to have an appeal of Vivid's member telling us "suki desu" (laughs)
I think the time you spent waiting in the dressing room was pretty long, what did you do?
Shou: In the non-smoking room, it was like SuG's home, and those that were searching for the smoking room were clustered together. It was embarrassing...[or left out]
Tora: That there were no place for you?
Shou: Because there were members in the smoking room, I did went there, but i guess it was too much for me so i went back (laughs). The food was curry so i didn't eat it [i don't know why] In a corner I was sitting plainly with Shin [from Vivid who also doesn't smoke]. Mai-chosan completely isolated himself from the external world and slept, I see this way as the best method to pass the waiting time
Nao: Mai-cho always have the image of sleeping in the dressing room. He's always sleepy (laughs)
Tora: But his tension during the live was amazing
Shou: Maybe that's his secret of exploding in lives. [Mai's sleeping technique]
Saga: I was also aimlessly wandering around during the waiting time, but really there's this out of place feeling, maybe i can't keep up with the younger ones' power (laughs)
Shou: That sounds like an old person
Tora: For me i was always being an idiot with Musasabi-san. Besides that, i did nothing much but played around together.
Saga: Speaking of which, I totally didnt talk with Kagrra's Nao-san about stuff on the bass. I forgot that he was a bassist (laughs)
Did the other 3 members watch the performance by the Tokyo High Black?
Shou: Yep, Mon-Marshy was what's he's usually like but Joe seems to have completely unleashed himself
Saga: My friends who came [Saga-san, you have friends?? O_o jkjk :)] also said "you were more cool than in Alice Nine"
Tora: Well isn't that not good (laughs)
Saga: Even SuG's Takeru-kun casually said "The Tokyo High Black's Joe-san was amazing". Even though it was a praise, i also felt like damn it.
Shou: Takeru used my going to [watch?] polo [some kind of horseback team spot] as material for MC, i thought he has light footwork. [probably meaning that takeru is really casual and not so serious] Because even for me, after talking around 5 minutes I'll be speaking into the mic (laughs)
Hiroto: Joe was lively in The Tokyo High Black
Shou: Ah, what about Alice nine?
Saga: So, does it mean that not looking as lively in Alice nine is not a bad thing (laughs)
Hiroto: But I know that feeling well [since he's also in Karasu]. Participating [in THB] with that kind of position, you can do what you can't do in your own band in that band. Also Mon-Marshy's sounds were great. The song from WANDS was great.
Shou: For some reason, even though it was a cover, it was around the same period [as the members; WANDS was active from 1991-2000, when TCB members were probably already in bands?]
Tora-shi: We worked hard on that. [for some reason this was the only time his name was written as Tora-shi and not simply Tora]
Hiroto: During the sound check on that day, Joe was already lively from that time on
Tora: It seems that because it's not your own band, you can release yourselves. Musasabi was also rather quiet when playing the bass in Kagrra
Shou: that's true
Tora: Maybe it's interesting for bassists when they do other parts
Because Tora-kun was still playing as a guitarist
Tora: Well I'm still the same [as a guitarist] so i'm the type to enjoy myself
I was surprised when Joe turned over and went around in circles.
Shou: I was surprised by that too
Saga: But it looked like a major debut was decided upon (laughs) I'm the supporter so it feels like it doesnt really concern me
Tora: I was also surprised by that
Did you watch the other bands' performances?
Tora: i watched the rehearsal but not the real performance
Shou: I watched everyone from the monitor in the dressing room
Tora: I think the recent bands are really skilled
Saga: When I thought about myself from the past, i felt sad (laughs). Everyone [the new bands] really did a lot
Shou: When we seriously understood our good parts, we can accurately portray our individuality. Since the formation of Alice Nine, we've always searched for what kind of band we want to be. I think everyone [probably everyone in PSC] is amazing.
Saga: I've received much motivation from the juniors
Shou: Everyone daringly did the live, i thought we shouldn't lose out, so it was really a good encouragement
Hiroto: Everyone was sparkly
Tora: Well, there are ways of thinking about it. I think it was an innocent kind of sparkly look, like what we looked like when we just formed. But i think that's because the time spent together wasn't that much, during those times there are strifes on what kind of band to be. For Alice Nine, increasingly i want to display the parts that are not sparkly, like at this moment. It can't be helped that there's competition, but i think as long as we really know what we're like it's good enough. Until now, there weren't any bands that were under us [meaning junior bands], usually we think about how we can outdistance the bands before us during our 5 years, finally, after yesterday's live, i thought the time where it's not good to be unaware of the later bands has come.
Hiroto: I think it is good that PS bands have the aura of aiming upwards in every area. I got a lot of motivation yesterday
Nao: I also thought that if don't pull ourselves together it won't be good. Budoukan has been decided and from now on we'll need to do good lives, grow to become a great band; it was an event that renewed our determination.
