On 24th and 31st March 2012, L’Arc~en~Ciel held another live viewing event at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan before their concert in Jakarta on 2nd May 2012. The concert that was showed in this live viewing was their performance of the 20th L’Anniversary Tour Final at Kyocera Dome on 4th December 2011.
The concert opened with a video that showed the eyes of each member, which then flashed to space and back to earth to indicate the start of L’Arc~en~Ciel's 20th anniversary concert. The stage looked gorgeous with an orchestra group inside an iron cage and three giant digital screens at the right, left and back of the stage. Silhouetted, hyde kicked off the concert with Farewell. Accompanied by the orchestra, hyde sung until yukihiro’s drum beats, tetsuya’s bass and ken’s guitar solo broke the silence. The song ended with great applause from the crowd.
Caress of Venus followed with an awesome laser display at the beginning. hyde kept on dancing as the song played, the fans enthusiastic inside the movie theatre. The crowd became even crazier when hyde blew a kiss to them.
GOOD LUCK MY WAY started with a scene of meadows and bright blue skies playing on the background screen behind the stage. hyde continued to dance throughout the song while ken looked full of spirit when playing and improvising on his guitar. The crowd enthusiastically sang along to the song that became one of the songs on the album BUTTERFLY.
hyde’s guitar marked the start of Heaven’s Drive. Laser silhouettes of the members were flashed on the background screen throughout the song. The crowd screamed like crazy in the middle of the song, some fans even calling each member’s name as if they were in a real live concert.
The stage then went dark before hyde showed up for an MC, saying that the concert would also be aired as a live viewing in theaters all over the world. He even said hello to the audience using Korean and Chinese in his MC.
The concert continued with Flower, hyde playing his harmonica and tetsuya his well-known pink bass. At the end of the song, the vocalist threw his harmonica into the audience.
The red light that covered the stage in Drink It Down brought about a scary yet attractive feeling. With flames on the background screen, L’Arc~en~Ciel played the song perfectly. Dune came next, with a contrast in feelings to the previous song. Black and whites dominated the stage when this song was played. At the chorus part of the song, hyde let the fans sing along over and over.
Rain drops and blue lights brought a dim feeling to the stage in Garasu Dama. The crowd silently watched hyde who sang this song with all his soul. Forbidden Lover was opened with a short drum solo from yukihiro. The stage was covered in orange light and some fans who still remembered this old tune even sang along to it.
With a disco ball shining above the stage, My Heart Draws a Dream was played. hyde let the audience sing along to the chorus once again in the middle of this song and it concluded with massive screaming and applause from the audience.
The stage went dark again before it was dyed in deep red. After a brief opening video, a hard distortion intro made the crowd scream along to the music. tetsuya, yukihiro and ken did a march around the arena, riding a mini van which was driven by the staff. They paraded around the dome while shooting smoke into the audience. hyde then showed up in a tall black hat, sitting on his throne which was supported by black-hooded men. While the other members were getting ready back on the stage, hyde sang on the top of his throne and Revelation began.
Seventh Heaven cheered up the atmosphere with silhouettes of sexy dancing girls on the giant screens on the back of the stage. In this song, some fans from the L’Arc~en~Ciel Fans Indonesia community even paraded along to the song inside the theatre. With a speedometer displayed on the background, sounds of an engine heating up signalled the start of Driver’s High. This song further fuelled the excitement of the fans. With hyde dancing throughout, the audience also kept on singing throughout the song.
After the song ended, tetsuya came from backstage and threw a banana into the audience. A bass solo from him opened Stay Away. hyde kept on dancing and went around the stage when the song was played. ken also heated up the atmosphere with his guitar solo. The crowd clapped their hands along to the rhythm of the song.
The crowd went crazy when Ready Steady Go was played. ken and tetsuya even looked full of excitement in the solo part of this song. The song, which had been a soundtrack for the anime “Full Metal Alchemist,” stole the heart of every fan—it was impossible to differentiate the screams of the audience from the concert and the audience inside the movie theatre. The song then ended with a very nice drum solo from yukihiro.
Before the next song was played, the audience was left in a quiet, long break. The audience showed their enthusiasm by doing Mexican waves inside the arena. Classical music broke the silence, with the giant screen at the back of the stage showing a photo slideshow video which showed L’Arc~en~Ciel’s journey through the 20 years.
Backed by a classic orchestra group once again, Anemone started the encore of the concert. hyde, ken and tetsuya sat atop the iron cage while yukihiro played the drums below them on the stage. ken played a six-stringed guitar, the harmonization between his guitar solo and a classic orchestra giving a romantic yet sad feeling to the song.
X X X began with a clip from the PV played on the background screen behind the stage. The letters "X X X" were also displayed on the screen along with the song. A classical orchestra sound really gave a great effect to this song when played live. The letters "X X X" soon changed into "CHASE" as the song of the same name was played. The electro-beat sound opened the song while clips from the PV also played on the background screen.
A short silence after CHASE was broken by ken who sang “Happy Birthday to We” for L’Arc~en~Ciel’s birthday celebration. ken then gave quite a long MC which caused the audience to burst into laughter. After wishing a Merry Christmas to all the fans, a staff member came out from backstage and handed ken his guitar. Hurry Xmas then played, the atmosphere really fun with Christmas snow falling on the backstage screen.
Link added more fun to the atmosphere in the dome. The fans once again clapped their hands along to the song and ken also looked as if he really enjoyed his guitar playing. hyde gave another MC after the song ended.
In his MC, hyde gave his thanks to all the fans who had been supporting L’Arc~en~Ciel through these 20 years, even though there were many things that happened within that time. Niji closed the concert as hyde’s MC came to an end. The audience was quiet as they gently waved their light sticks. The song then finished with white feathers falling to the stage.

Some fans in the movie theatre were complaining about how short the live viewing was for them, but they left the theatre peacefully.
