麗:Aoi, whenever we'd have to give something for the fanclub magazine, you'd would always have pictures attached. And when you're at home, you're always on the PC making music... Why are you so enthusiastic about computers Aoi? So yeah. That's what we're going to talk about today in this interview. So to start it off, what kind of PC do you use?
葵:*laughs* I use a Mac! It's a G4. Just a normal one tho
麗:I dont know much about Mac PCs so… what do you normally use them for?
葵:For music production! And lately I've been using it to make movies.
麗:What kind of movies?
葵:From something that is presentable to the public to the end credit rolls for our lives.
麗:The recorded ones?
葵:Yeah, like the lives from our Gama tour.
麗:How do you rate your self in terms of movie making skill
葵:Err... well, I'm alright.
麗:I heard it from someone that it would take you about 2-3 days to complete it.
葵:Eeeh?! Well it's the PC's fault. It's so slow!
麗:How does the PC help you in producing music?
葵:I try to get it to work as close to the workstations in the studio.
麗:Ah, you mean you use Pro Tools?
葵:Yeah, I bought them Pro Tools as soon as I got the PC set up.
麗:Everytime I have a thought about the necessity of having a little home-studio, I think about all of the work I have to do to get it set up... It's just hard. All the work from getting the PC set up to buying all of the software, which is really expensive btw is really troublesome. Why is it so hard to set up a home-studio?
葵:WAH! If you want to produce something with quality then you need to go through all of the hardships first! And you'd really learn more about music this way.
麗:Ah- I can learn something from using Pro Tools?
葵:Yeah, you learn something and you do work at the same time!
麗:Like killing two birds with one stone eh? You're really impatient y'know.
葵:*laughs*
麗:So to conclude, you can do a lot of great stuff on your PC. What else do you do on your PC other than making songs?
葵:Aand we're still in this PC topic. I only have time to make songs when I'm at home on my PC...
麗:Ookay. Let's move on to the next question then. Please teach the kids in this generation on to achieve their dreams! Don't you feel like kids these days have no dreams to live for? But I think it's our responsibility to guide them and show them the way towards realising their dreams!
葵:I never really had something like a dream... Err- how should I answer this? I've had people asking me this question before... and I've thought about it... This is hard. But when I was a kid,I thought people who played guitar were really cool. So maybe it was sorta like a dream for me when I was a kid? But now, it's something I stand up to and live for.
麗:Y'know how some people would think, maybe I can't do this, and quit. So what was your motivation to become who you are now?
葵:I'm going to say something strange but, when you look at the power of the human energy, there's simply nothing we can't do.
麗:Just do it, eh?
葵:Yeah, just do it. Even tho you did not achieve what you dreamt of, you won't lose anything. You'll be gaining something great by just doing it. Having your dreams come true comes second. Take the first move, work for your dream.
麗:I see. So you're saying that it doesn't matter if you can do it or not. Just try it out and see what comes out of it, eh?
葵:I feel that, if you went on to pursue your dreams, something inside of you will change. And even if you couldn't realise your dreams, but you've worked hard for it- you've already progressed forward in life. You'll grow stronger in other aspects aswell. But that's what big bro Aoi thinks tho.
麗:I see. Next question. Now lets talk about that beloved bike of yours. You really love them don't you?
葵:I love bikes!
麗:I clearly see the love on your face. Did you have that face on when you bought it? *laughs* Anyway, what's your bike again?
葵:My bike is a Yamaha Dragstar! A super sexy American! I used to ride them naked bikes but now I think I should just ride normal ones...
麗:Naked bikes?! You mean the bikes delinquent biker gangs ride on?
葵:Yeah! Like Z-2. I used to be a speed addict. Now I'm kinda afraid of it
麗:Have you never had that moment where you think "Oh god no- I am going to die" ?
葵:Yes I do! I was like "I am going to die!!" when I was going really fast trying to overtake big ass trucks. Sometimes I think I would be better off without a bike. But then when I'm too coped up in my room, that's when I have that urge to go riding.
麗:Oooh, you're super cool!
葵:Thank you so very much *laughs*
麗:Where do you go to ride your bike? On the Shin-Shonen Bypass? Do you get musically inspired when you go riding?
葵:I'd get really tired after I go out for a ride tho *laughs*. Maybe I'll try making music after I go riding next time.
麗:While we're at it, what are your hobbies?
葵:Right now my hobby is doing work-related stuff.
麗:Aren't hobbies supposed to be fun? How would it be fun if your hobby is doing work?
葵:I didnt quiet enjoy it when we were working on [DISORDER], but if I think work=hobby=fun, then somehow it becomes fun. It's not like I'm trying to break away from the stress of work or anything.
麗:Please explain more on that.
葵:When I want to focus on the band when creating songs, it'll be really fun if I think stuff like -"Uruha's gonna play this part!" I'm not saying that I've never had such thoughts when creating songs before. I've just had much more thoughts like that lately.
麗:And lastly, your thoughts on the fans.
葵:I really want to meet all those people who genuinely enjoy music!
麗:And what about you? Have you ever had that thought where you wish you'd always be like this, the way you are now?
葵:It's the same for me too. I want to continue on to genuinely enjoy music!
麗:So you're saying that what you want for the fans and what you want for yourself is the same thing?
葵:Yeah, in the end I want all of us to just enjoy the music.
